- Who do you plan to interview? What is this person's area of expertise?
- I plan to interview my mentors co-worker named Tony Nguyen. He has been a CSI for quite some time. As a Crime Scene Investigator his area of expertise is in Forensics. I believe he attended the University of Washington and received a degree. I'm not entirely sure degree in what, however that can be one of the background preliminary questions I ask him during our interview.
- Verify that you have called your interviewee to schedule an interview. What is the date and time of the interview?
- The interview I am conducting is scheduled in two weeks which is Wednesday 1/27/16. The interview will be after school at my usual mentorship time, which is 1:00PM.
- Phrase an open-ended question that will help you find research resources that would help to answer the EQ.
- Do you have any certifications? If so what sort of materials to you study to prepare yourself for said certifications?
- Phrase an open-ended question that will help you think about other useful activities you might do to help you answer the EQ (IC2, possible experts to talk to, etc).
- What sort of activities do you do at conferences, that really help people understand what it is to be a crime scene investigator?
- Phrase two open-ended questions that help you to understand your interviewee's perspective on an aspect of your EQ.
- Why are crime scene photos essential to an investigation?
- Fingerprinting using powders has been around for quite some time in crime scene investigation, why has it still so popular when newer technologies exist?
What is the most useful skill to a Crime Scene Investigator in an Investigation?
